Autumn is my favourite time of year, and part of that is because I can finally wear a sweater without overheating in seconds. For short mascs (especially those on testosterone), finding outfits that are both stylish and comfortable can be a huge challenge. SO, I’ve put together four autumnal outfit ideas that are pretty interchangeable, simple & cute.
1. Autumn Sailor
Outfit Components:
Brown neckerchief Waffle T-shirt Jeans Brown belt "Future is Queer" keyring. White and beige trainers
This outfit is perfect for those medium cool days when a jacket feels unnecessary but your neck might be chilly enough for a gay neckerchief moment. Pair it with a comfy waffle T-shirt (great for hiding sweat!), your favourite jeans, and the brown belt to tie it all together. The “Future is Queer” keyring hanging off a carabiner makes another cute butch statement, and the white and beige trainers tie back to the t shirt.
Monochrome outfits are a nice way to appear polished and put-together with minimal effort. The comfy joggers and a long-sleeve shirt layered underneath a statement tee will keep you warm, but also nod to the noughties. Top it off with a cozy fisherman’s beanie to let the world know you're a bit fruity. Again, the “Future is Queer” keyring on a carabiner makes a statement, while the trainers complete the ensemble for a morning casual walk.
When you're feeling rough and need to throw on whatever is beside your bed, this is your fit. The classic white hoodie pairs great with grey sweatpants. The “Trans Folks Deserve Better” cap keeps the sun out of your eyes, and the "T4T" keyring says "yeah I have great taste". Grab a beige bag for a practical moment, and finish with your white trainers to keep things casual.
Perfect for a brunch with friends, this outfit strikes a balance between casual and cute. The cropped brown hoodie is a great choice for autumn and gives some shape - especially if you wear a tight vest underneath. Pair it with classic blue jeans and a brown belt to show that you actually have made an effort. The “Trans Folks Deserve Better” cap adds a playful element, while the “T4T” keyring makes a subtle statement. Complete the outfit with trainers that match the hoodie and you're good to go.
Something that helps me when putting together an outfit is to pick 2-3 colours and repeat them in the look. It keeps the outfit looking fresh and intentional. I'm all about wearing things that bring me comfort and aren't going to put me in pain after an hour of wearing them. Have fun experimenting, and enjoy the process!
